收稿范围 | Molecular Imaging and Biology (MIB) is the official journal of the World Molecular Imaging Society, the European Society for Molecular Imaging and the Federation of Asian Societies of Molecular Imaging. MIB invites original contributions (research articles, review articles, commentaries, etc.) on the utilization of molecular imaging in problems of relevance in biology and medicine. The primary objective of the Journal is to provide a forum to the discovery of molecular mechanisms of health and disease through the use of imaging techniques. Some areas that are covered are: o Molecular imaging (i.e., PET, SPECT, MRI, MRS, optical imaging, autoradiography, etc) of macromolecular targets (i.e. genes, receptors, enzymes) involved in significant biological processes. o Technology involved in the design, synthesis and evaluation of molecular probes used to recognize, image, investigate macromolecular targets and the functions they perform. o Development and evaluation of imaging systems including instrumentation, image reconstruction algorithms, image analysis, and display. o Development of molecular assay approaches leading to quantification of the biological information obtained in molecular imaging. o Study of in vivo animal models of disease for the development of new molecular diagnostics and therapeutics. o Extension of in vitro and in vivo discoveries using disease models, into well designed clinical research investigations. The overall objective is to translate basic science discoveries into molecular imaging of disease in patients, both to investigate the biological nature of disease in patients and to establish new molecular imaging diagnostic procedures. Clinical molecular imaging involving clinical investigations, clinical trials and medical management or cost-effectiveness studies are also of interest and will be considered for publication. |
